first welds with an inverter

alright i lied, i couldn't resist the temptation to have another go appologies to anyone still on dialup who opens this thread

first off, a piece of 3mm angle iron, welded flat, 3.2mm unbranded rods off ebay at 110amp:

first run

with slag removed

2nd run

weave over the top

not the best

bit of 3mm box welded to 3mm plate, 2.5mm bohler rods at 80amp

this was done with an unbranded 4mm rod at 160amp

not much holding the slag on

t fillet on 5mm plate, using 2.5mm phoenix union rods at 100amp. this is the second run, the first was a bit messy

4th run

5th run

and for good measure a scabby bit of 3mm pipe welded to some 4mm plate, phoenix union rods again

haven't actually had any proper peelers with this set, no chance on the plate iv just been welding theres about 30 rods run on it back to back its a wee bit warm

all different rods, bohler 2.5s and 3.2s, phoenix union 2.5s and unbranded 3.2's, bit shaky, was trying to only hold the electrode holder in 1 hand...

Looks like a good little welder for the money
What does the arc force setting do ? i presume the post gas setting on tig is a fixed setting ?
what warranty period do you get?

just looked up the manual mate, and i quote "Post-gas time: It will adjust automatically according to the welding current set"

12 months warranty

edit - the arc force makes the arc more aggressive the higher you set it, a lot more spatter and i would assume deeper penetration?

had another go

a peeler 3.2mm bohler rod 110amps

same weld with slag removed

then had a go at vertical up... now thats a wee bit tricky 60 amps, 2.5 bohler rods

that weld on the t joint is looking nice, just keep tryin with the vertical stuff if all else fails, weave the ******** off it and dont stop moving lol. You tryed any tig on it yet?

Any peelers with those 4mm 6013's yet? I thought you may have some success with your new inverter.

not a peeler but theres a pic of one that the slag was just sitting on top of the weld in pieces. don't ever recall getting a peeler from the same brand 3.2 rods
