First welds with the welder the tutorials said not to buy.. Be honest!

@premmington I'm curious, what length cables do you have hangin on the side of your machine in that picture, I'm thinking of doing a 6m electrode and 4m earth, both 25mm2, just trying to get an idea how it would look

I got differing leads on it now (old photo). Both 25mm2 Earth is 5m - Stinger is a bit longer 5.5 > 6.0m ish - plus I bought a R10 5 mtr remote.

I often get involved making security grills - I often use this little Kemppi welder to "burn in" the fixings after fitting - up a ladder - so thus the remote.

Short 16mm cables will be OK thou - I doubt you (or me) will ever burn in boxes and boxes of anything bigger than 3.2's

5mtr leads are OK on a light invertor (inverter > spelling?).


I tend to use 25mm - based on the fact I buy rolls of it to make up leads on cars (I am an auto electrician by trade).
