how thick is the dot and dab? these would be better fixing in the block behindAre these good for dot and dab walls?? I’ve got some coat hooks and other assorted bits and bobs to stick up in our porch??
I have some long fixings that can go all the way through but with these being suitable for both block and board thought they may be ok for light-ish loads? I don’t think it’s massively thick, but having said that I’ve not attempted to drill into it yet!!how thick is the dot and dab? these would be better fixing in the block behind
ill have to get a box now! I been a fan of fischer for a long time never tried those plugs though
ill have to get a box now!
Just watched a tube on these....what I really like is they publish the load data by plug size and material so theres a lot less guess work.
Yes I bought some too...tmrw I have a heavy mirror to fit into a plasterboard wall...handy to know what loads each plug will carry.
It matters not I'll.put them on my.next invoice when i purchase them.... I hope toolstation or screwfix sell that box.Sorry. Didn't mean to throw temptation out there.
I'll keep these in mind just incase it all goes wrong....that 25mm hole might come in handy to cover my tracksFor heavy stuff on plasterboard I am a fan of grip it fixings.
I hope toolstation or screwfix sell that box.
Not available anywhere according to the website, probably the mig-welding forum effect, still available in Wickes thoughJust happened to be browsing

I've used a fair number of those and never had one fail. It's worth getting the setting tool otherwise it's tricky to get them just right.I like a gripit! They are good fixings as long as you have the space to conceal it behind what you are fixing, they can be a bit large!
I like these too and tend to use this type for anything extra heavy!

I'm a fan of those too but the downside is you are stuck with a machine screw so if it's something with visible fixings they are no good (to me)
I use these lots with heavy stuff on solid walls that has an "industrial" look because I can change the fastener out for something nicer than the supplied.
They are VERY good and quicker than resin sleeves on solid walls (or plasterboard over solid)
Rigifix M8 Anchor Fixings 4 Pack https://amzn.eu/d/cWIf0t8
what's good about them? just because easier to swap the screw for something tidy?
looks like it's just a wall plug with a threaded rod that screws in and receives your 'face' screw?
I don't see how that's better than just wallplug+srew?
