I'm assuming I fill this gap to screw the dry ridge to so 40mm wide screwed to the ridge under neath that's a lot of possable movement in the wind if its only 40mm wide

your going to need to fill that gap with timber screwed into the ridge tree..why don't you use angled ridge as they have a lower profile. looking at the roof profile there it looks almost flat what degree pitch is that?

12.5 degrees lowesdt you can go with regent tiles apparently (not that i need tell you that just info ive been given)

with dry verge you either put battens to screw top of dry verge to or the dry verge kit often comes with metal clips which effectively make an upstand to nail to. incidentally if your at 12.5 degrees pitch are those tiles smooth face as the standard dont go down to 12.5 degrees think there about 20 its just from picture they like standard not smooth faced or at least thats how it look on my computer

ok good probably just how pic looked on pc . yes can use metal riser to attach to roof batten then one above to dry verge or as i think roofman said just put battens together to build up height . you want the batten or riser near the ridge tile so tile is firmly held otherwise especially on low pitch roof the ridge tile will have possibility of moving about. hope that makes sense
