Why wouldn't you just make one.

Well exactly. And if I was in the UK I’d have bought that chippie and sold it for bits and stolen the cross slide handle and fixed steady (remaining on topic!) for myself

Only problem. If your anything like me what really happens is you end up with another project lathe.

Only problem. If your anything like me what really happens is you end up with another project lathe.

It’s far easier to restore one lathe with another, everyone knows that... will that wash as an excuse when it follows me home though?
