Floor Cable protection covers

I'd chase some out of the floor to pay them in there

but instead of all those power cables, just run one length of 3 phase and then put sockets under the bench where you need them

you don't want to run the welder power wires where it'll take you an hour to unplug your welder to move it somewhere else

easiest way it probably to fit a little fuse box under there

well in that case... deffo go with the single run of 3phase... so there's less to run

I'd go with a long rubber mat... that way it'll be a gradual bump and not a sudden one?

I had several rolls of decent stuff from RS that hung around for years and ended up chucking them as I couldn't imagine ever using them only regretted it a few times

a raised timber floor would make me very nervous. I’d want to wait 2 hours before closing the door.

Thanks everyone for their input glad I asked!

Decided I will go for two ways. The mig gets moved around to clean under (I’m sad enough to hoover my workshop every morning!) so will go for a rubber floor protector to cover the cable and gas line which is a quick disconnect anyway. So this will be easy to keep clean and tidy and there’s minimal on the floor

Rest of it won’t get moved only to service maybe once a year! So will fabricate/ purchase some trunking that can bolt to the rear of the bench and then go up to the wall and the rest of the power, gas and air can go into that

Will update once I’ve had chance to get it all sorted!

Decided to go with a pedestrian cable cover from the workplace depot seems really nice and plenty of space for the cables I plan to run did some tests pre purchase and wasn’t as much of a trip hazard as I first thought.

Will reroute the tig power and gas through the side of the cabinet and then through the cover will make for a nearer install Just to run the plasma power and 13a single phase cable. Decided to run the compressed air from the other end of the bench
