foot pedal PCB Fronius TR2200

Hello,

My name is Markus from germany and I wanted to show you my DIY PCB for the Fronius Castolin foot pedal with the newer digital connector. It is an 99% replica of the original Fronius design , except the software, Works fine with my Trantig 1750 and my Castolin 2201 .

Also I did a wireless pedal for it an my Rehm Invertig 210 .

Also nice work with your Fronius Pulser, 1:1 Fronius copy.

I am also a big fan of the MW 2000 very very good and reliable machine, but after 20 years , they need a new capacitor before it breaks and some new resistors on the top SMPS PCB . Than they work forever..

Orignal Fronius knobs are OKW ( 13,5, 16mm) series available at "Buerklin" Germany if you want keep it 100% original.

I’ve got some questions @. .
What’s the maximum range you’ve found to comfortably work between the pedal and the box?

In theory can you do this with any pedal?

Would you want the job of making one for me (subject to the answers above)

The mw 2200 Is Not the mw2000
But i saw some with burned Voltage Feedback resistor n

I assume you have a Not so old mw2200 Not a mw 2000 they are Fine.

Hi Richard

The Range depends on the surroundings, usually enough for any torch length

I have a few welders. Would it work on the mw2000 or is that too old.

Yes it would work but i Need to Check the powersupply over the Plug it Self Many welders don’t Supply enough current to the Receiver so a external supply Is necessary. Could take some Time.

What Else welders do you have?

I’m in no rush. Would be great if you could make something like that. A wireless pedal would be a lovely luxury.
Obviously before you start putting any time into it please pm me a price. I don’t want you to get into it without discussing money in case the cost out weighs the luxury lol. Cheers.

Ok I’m blinking impressed with what you can do.
Absolutely sterling work.
I’ve got some questions.
Dose it work exactly the same way so you set your amps on the machine and your wireless pedal dose the full scope of what ever you set.
I see you have the wireless box plugged in the remote socket. My set up is a pulse remote in that socket and the pedal is connected to the remote. I assume (hopefully correct) that I can plug the wireless box straight into my remote and the pedal will work as normal?
Obviously having the pedal plugged into a pulse remote I’m able to pulse weld using the pedal. Would this be just the same?
Providing it’s able to do exactly the same as I’ve got now but with the wireless pedal I would definitely be up for buying a set up from you and please send me a quotation.

Yes i Works just like the Wired pedal , adjust the current at the machine and Full pedal gives Max set current

Pulser: Never Used one and have None for testing so Not sure about it , maybe Hugh can send me a schematic or say two sentences about how it exactly Works , how the pedal connector Is wired up..

I’m not an expert but I would assume it makes no difference with or without the pulser as the pedal is essentially still getting the same feeds from the machine socket it’s just those feeds are extended into another box that dose other things as well is that correct @HughF ?
In theory the pedal should just increase and decrease the current as the other one did. The fact that the current is pulsing I’d imagine it really shouldn’t care about that. As I understand it they are 2 independent systems and the only link is the current. Correct??? @HughF

Pin f is just connect through , Should Work Fine , but you Never know until you Test it.

I could send you my only Prototype if you Promise to send it back
