Thought I would revisit this since a jaw like that for lightweight use would be really handy.
Thankfully, a few others have had the same idea and there's a selection on Thingiverse.

Might be worth waiting, these early models sort of look ok but wouldn't want to spend a day (or so) printing to discover a better version.
Clearly I am not the only one who can see the possibilities for this amazing design.

Horses for courses. A 3d printed vice jaw like this wouldn't have to go on a milling machine to be useful. I'd like one for my "tech" bench where I might be soldering or making up smaller models . I often have to clamp odd shaped pieces even just for holding onto while I glue something up or solder etc.
How long it lasts depends on how hard you push it remembering the entire jaw is made from replaceable component parts. As they wear or break, just print up another and replace it...
No idea on pricing but my gut feeling is a good secondhand one could easily top £2k. Given the extreme interest generated by that video I posted earlier in the YoTube thread, I'll bet the chap from Hand Tool Rescue wouldn't sell it for love nor money. He might end up making a ton of cash just from the video which I bet will go viral.
