Free Ratchet Screwdriver Set at Toolstation

Had a flyer come through my letterbox to let me know a Toolstation had opened up locally. Included in the flyer was a voucher for a free 38 piece ratchet screwdriver. Pretty decent for a freebie was my thoughts!

yep got 1 when branch in walsall opened then 2 together in lieu of free head torch (which was out of stock)

Yeah in Rushden, Always used the Bedford/Kettering one, But now there's one closer its pretty handy. I find it amusing that they are neighbours with Screwfix in Wellingborough!

Do you know of any other local steel suppliers apart from AH Allen?

There is billsons in kettering, but I'm not a huge fan of them. Decent scrap yard near finedon, all depends on exactly what you are after?

Slightly off topic, but I lived in Rushden for a while when I was a little lad. First up the top of Victoria Road, and then a year or so in Wymminton Road. Went to Alfred Street School.

Amazes me how many screwfix and tool stations are side by side. Stacey bushes in mk there next door to each other. Howdens and benchmarx are often found to be neighbours too.

That's the same set as sold in Lidl from time to time , decent enough for odd jobs

I'm all for competition! Keeps these people on their toes. I find Toolstation generally better value for money!

I agree, but look local.
I was in need of Meths, for cleaning wood and for small steam engines.
My Local hardware shop had 5lts/1 gallon for the same price I paid for 2lts.

Something to bare in mind.

Yeah I agree you sometimes forget the local businesses. I was looking into starting up a online local hardware business. As there has been countless times that no one has had what I needed at competitive prices!

That is so true, a few weeks ago I needed some wood saw handle screws/fixings.
Again thanks for the advise here from members. I followed it up.

but the other day I was in a small hardware shop, next town over. I was making small talk with the young man on the counter, the topic came up of said screws.
He then opened a small wooden drawer on a big wall and pulled out 24 fixings, £10.
