Free Ratchet Screwdriver Set at Toolstation

I find toolstaion cheaper but screwfix better quality.

Would be interested to hear more about this as I see very little difference.

A lot of stuff from toolstation is silverline (enough said) or draper(again chinese rubbish).I tend to buy from both as long as the cheaper item is a decent quality.

I mainly buy screws & electrical stuff from them generally. Most other stuff I buy online!

I prefer toolstation mainly because there drinks machine is free
I avoid the cheap tools there as they are usually silverline rubbish .other stuff is usually decent quality .
Too many "diy numpties "in screwfix asking the clueless staff daft questions , I don't like being in the queue behind such folk (life's too short )
Toolstation is usually quieter and diy numpty hasn't discovered it yet

That's why I order before I leave site. Walk in. Pop my card in the green machine on the wall. Pop my pin in. Get a yellow ticket and wait for it to come out. Weekends are a nightmare for diyers

Primarily I use sf. Quality is markedly better. And it's worth the slight price increase.

I generally order what I want before I turn up to collect also. People that ask stupid questions should do their homework first imo or leave it to someone that knows what they're doing!

Amazes me how many screwfix and tool stations are side by side. Stacey bushes in mk there next door to each other. Howdens and benchmarx are often found to be neighbours too.

The owner of Screwfix sold up the brand, then opened Tool stations as close as possible to Screwfix's but lower prices.

So I heard from a manager.

As my nearest Screwfix is about 5 minutes away I tend to order online and by the time I get there it's ready to collect, having an Electrifix account they just scan my keyfob code to find my order (free drinks and biscuits too )

hi as i understand it from my local toolstation manager sardine is pretty much correct and it is a deliberate policy ,smaller range slightly lower price and local to screwfix branches sometimes almost next door.

yea they're next door in Gillingham too. If one doesn't have something in stock you can just walk next door and get it
