MMA machine and 3 MCU and PLD?

I gave £50 for it, fixed it, sold it to my mate (who still hasn't paid me for it) and it went bang somewhere else. It's working now but the logic board is requesting 150a from the inverter stage irrespective of potentiometer position. Pot is good...

It's a DC tig machine with hf and pulse. Quite nice really, light weight and portable.

I just had a look at these Triton welders.
Sorry for my post regarding this machine.
If you got it up on running this is really a bargain.
I read a lot about EWM.
In general these machines are bulletproof.
But in these early machines PLD problems are seriously.

All of these machines from end of 90s are equipped with pld.
I’m talking from EWM, Lorch, Merkle.

There is a vid on YouTube regarding your machine with strange current potentiometer behavior.
But I guess you already seen it.

Today I got my new old Selco.
These one is also kind of serious.
Previous owner told me that he got issues with hf ignition.
For about 200€ it is time of gambling now.
Max current 260A.
It looks quite good but I have to improve an adapter for these kind of Plasma connectors.
Bad stuff.
It’s made in modern style.
But it is heavyweight.
Lots of aluminum and copper inside.
On cold run hf ignition sounds pretty good.

but I will have a shot on real situations soon.

I got a really nice conversation with Bruno from GYS regarding his machines.
He really is a nice guy who knows about his business.

If I got time I give this machine a second chance to get back in service.

Appreciate his information about this machine.

As he wrote me they did and do a lot of research which is hopefully avoiding cracked power connections....

Today I got my Oerlikon.
It is really a beast of machine.

Working very well now.
Just had to replace one MOSFET driver Transistor.

Really nice quite machine in comparison to Selco which is blowing all time loud.

Ive got an older EWM 300 ac/DC tig welder with foot pedal brought on an auction. At home the machine only wanted to weld full power. I have crossed all of the Netherlands to find somebody to fix but no one really wants to try..... so I looked deep in my pocket and brought an MW3000. So now of for a foot pedal.

Bwt the EWM is for sale! I don't have the electric feel to repair....

What was the HF issue?

As I remember some snubber MOV are blown.
But I am not sure.
These machines are often faulty because of its plasma connectors.
Meanwhile did a lot machines here so I am not sure what exactly caused the problem.
