fuse blowing

Hi Guys,
I have the same problem with a BOC Murex stick welder AC/DC, it refuses to strike up and just blows fuses in the cable plug.
I am new to the forum and will post details tomorrow when it is dry and I am awake.
Enjoying reading g the forum and will definitely be back.

You are asking alot of a 13a fuse,if that`s what you have,to take the load

Hi me again, the welder I am using is a Murex...Transarc...Tradesman...DC 130 and my friend has a similar uint and he can burn 2.5mm all days at 70amp and happily 3.0mm rods at 130amp with reduced duration. The machines are designed to operate on a standard domestic fuse 13 amp at 250 v
The mob's do trip but a conventional fuse at the board holds...16amp.
Any thoughts
