gas bottle any advise emptying??

I just checked around the back of my shop for snow, I found some but its yellow, will that do?

Should do fine, Might not smell that nice when it starts to melt

If you're going to tip out gas, have a care about where it goes - it's heavier than air and will run into drains and pits etc. A mate of mine was standing on a drain cover when the petrol vapour in the drain below exploded - lifted him 3 feet in the air...

Watch out! sometimes, yellow snow is a sign of snow snake in the area!

that reminds me of, on he buses when they blew the toilet and drains up on the holiday camp with petrol from the bike

thanks for help guys havent got round to getting it cut open yet as i couldent tip the water out and it was frooze solid and a ton weigh i just tiped it yesterday and left it as it was taking ages to drain the water out
the water from it stank.

the waters been inside it solid now for over a week and i have just got it tiped out now.
do you think it would be safe to make a cut now or refill it and like suggested above cut it when its full of water

i would have cut it while frozen, surely better than tipping the water out first.

JUST CURIOUS how could u get a gas bubble in the ice if it was filled to the top before it froze

ice freezes on the top first. gas builds up under it. remember you still have to give it a day or 2 for the gas to dissipate after filling with water

Definitely a day at least, i filled one with water, twice and emptied it thinking that'll do....
Started cutting and low and behold...BANG! a flame about a metre long came shooting out the hole i'd just cut and the valve
Needless to say i crapped myself and me dad came rushing out the house said he heard the bang from inside
I think i was quite lucky tbh

once you remove the valve you just turn the bottle upside down any liquid gas will then drain out. leave for a while longer for the rsidue to evaporate fill with water to push out any vapour and away you go.
