gas vs mig
both have there good and bad points. good points of gas is its more versatile. gives a nice smooth weld . disimlar thickness metals can be joined real easy with one setting .the metal can be warmed up and tapped into place , can be used for cutting and freeing siezed parts bad bit is bottle rental and being close to properties . worth having if u get the gear cheap and can warant the use migs more available to the general public on a budget price for repairing cars and light fabrication and is faster than gas welding and most run on a 13 amp supply and dont take up much room . a good oilcooled ark welder is well worth having .will last forever maintenance free and is ideal for thicker material and will run all day without overheating down side is get long leads for it as u get big goolies trying to move it
