When I worked in the NHS one of the doctors told me a story of going to visit a patient on medical Oxygen in their home. The oxygen cylinder had lots of black lines on the white collar around the top and the patient used it to strike matches to light his cigarettes. Probably not the safest of things to do and before safety matches were around, it’s been nearly 20 years since I worked for the NHS.
