I have a machine that does them. It's debatable if there is any value in that bit because I can buy the basket unit itself for less than a quid and they look exactly the same as a 4 bar square stock
The thing is if I want to make different or I end up one or two short I can make them up there and then

If I had to do a lot for one job. As in over say 50 I might actually buy in that bit to be honest. No way could I do fifty off In less than a morning and if the job had 200 in I could loose the job on price against another so yes there are limits.

I recently made a nice profit out of 200 staircase spindles. They got dropped off here and I delivered them 20 miles up the road. There are limits and I don't think anyone makes railheads and bosses / bushes in the UK

Yes, it's low and exactly a meter wide. Made box section posts as well.
