Was only wondering how it held up through the heat this summer today.

Finally used the redwood I bought for your facia today and put it in my mind

It's not moved a bit in any direction, just painted it, been rock solid, used creak and moan all through summer - not a peep!
I put it down to the clown who put the kingspan up before you

little giant ,,, expensive , but good.

Got my Little Giant (adjustable, 5-8 tread) about 10 years ago. Seemed expensive at the time (think I paid £150 at Machine Mart, and price seems to have doubled since then), but worth every penny. Far more stable than any other type that I have used. Perfect for outdoor use, but very heavy to carry around.

I have a collection of perfectly usable aluminium step ladders. Generally about to be binned where the site changed to fibreglass.

We have class I, class en131 and class III over here.

Personally I have a couple of class I by Lyte, but also several EN131 by Werner and youngman which are decent. Class III is domestic and normally crap.

FWIW Werner used to be made in Greenville, Pa about 60 miles south of me.

had to laugh the other month was working on a ladder changing an outside light my mate footing it i touched a live wire and got a bit of a belt i heard my mate yelp he was holding the ladder on damp ground it had rubber feet but he grounded it by holding it he said stuff you next time

I'm a 1a rating guy....

My ladders are all 1A (300 lbs), plus I have one rated 1AA (375 lbs). I count not only my own weight (I'm just over 200 lbs when running empty) plus whatever I'm lifting into place, which could be a heavy wooden beam, etc., and my slightly OCD-ish over-engineering personality likes to have a good margin.

I have a Werner platform/hop-up. Nice gear. Decent build quality.

we havent got all day for a 10 minute job i used to do callout work for a big company and the paperwork was unreal 4 hours for a 2 hour job . the sh.t hit the fan on some of there important machinery . and like magic all clearances and procedures went out of the door faults sorted in the hour and up and running had the same with leccy board a lot of flats loss of power due to a fire on main supply . meters discarded and all mains tails renewed and conected in to the buzbar pannel no paperwork . when big money and time is lost they turn a blind eye
