1 side of the disc would tend to lift the piece off the table, but with light cuts probably ok.

Doh!.. Of course, when i said parallel i meant perpendicular, and vice-a-versa. Me and my muddly words of confusion

I think Peter has had to take light cuts as it is, to get to where he has with the concave 'angle'.

thanks, I've been thinking about going to Rufforth for some time but something always comes up! Maybe the next one?

Yesterday was so cold...three hours in the workshop and I couldn't feel my feet. I only noticed when I needed to move across to pick up a tool off the other bench.

As I was scraping and everything was close to hand I didn't move anything other than hands and shoulders for a couple of hours!

The book said it needs concentration and I had no idea what the time was by then...but I also had no idea that I was thinking of nothing else and wasn't bored with it. Must say something about my mind!

I can't repeat what my wife said when she asked what I'd been doing and I told her.

Hi,

yes, I know. I have a parafin stove but generally don't use it unless I plan to be in there for the day. Anything less than a couple of hours and it's just starting to get warm.

The thing is, as I'm sure everyone here knows, that sort of 'cold' sneaks up on you...especially when you're busy.

I heard on the radio today that Spring has sprung eleven days early this year...and there's more snow on the way today!
