What a difference a year makes!
After all the upheavals and expense with the move I've been looking at the project line up. I need to be a bit more realistic on available time and how/where best to spend the money. I'm going to need to promote the bike side of the business better/more and one part of that will be to have a stand at the Kickback show in Malvern next April.
Where's all this waffle leading? Well I've had an idea. As part of the 'show and tell' for the stand, to promote the business, and because it'll be awesome I'm taking a 42 year old air cooled GSX1100 16v engine, increasing the capacity by 100cc, converting it to a cross plane long bang configuration, and converting it to fuel injection and coil on plug ignition.
Cams have been cut by spark erosion as it only removes 0.3 mm. The pieces were then drilled and made into a camshaft kebab so that I can set them up for the new firing order, mark them, then they can be bored pressed onto slugs and pinned.
Crank pressed apart, and then reassembled in cross plane configuration.
Cases vapour blasted ready for assembling into.
