Fantastic bit of kit.
Used mine today to saw through a latch on a locked ceiling hatch.

Down side face full of brass and more items to test.

Upside, keycode for vending machine.

i have one thats rarely used you have to watch out with them though using hss blades . they shatter easily and sharp bits fly off in all directions

Another suggestion:

Made in India. I think the handle is bamboo and is bound with tinned steel wire. I was given a few of these and now have none left as everyone who sees them collects one.

My pad saw handle very quickly turns a snapped blade into a shorter snapped blade .. .

used bi metal blades are better for use in a padsaw and safer less prone to snapping

I have found that those eclipse broken blade saws work better with the teeth reversed and used as a draw saw.

Dead hacksaw blades are great for making scrapers for ferocium rods (Fire Steels as they are also know, or fire starting spark making sticks)

Tried all ways - I think the clamp screw moves too much - twists it. Had more luck holding them in a thick glove.

I am reminded of a lad at work, just out of his apprenticeship - handed me a hacksaw to use - blade in the wrong way round - he never knew there was a correct way - and different for junior hacksaws.

They do a lot better job of not skewering yourself if the blade breaks like that

Well, assuming my dad was right Hacksaw cuts on the forward stroke, juniors on the back stroke, as I assumed pad saws do - never found a junior blade that lasted more than day, and I can't stop blades busting in my dads old pad saw handle. So maybe I'm not the one to listen to

always use junior hacksaws forward cutting stroke .never heard of them in reverse before and allways wear them out and never snap them
