Some are quite determined though. Young lad round the corner had a Saxo with the bean can tailpipe back box and he got in to go to work only to be surprised at the amount of noise it made. Someone had taken back box, clamp and hangers during the night.

Back in the sixties the wife and I (then girlfriend) were enjoying a day out at Barry Island in South Wales, returned to the huge grassy field that passed for an overspill car park, got into the car and noticed the driver in the adjacent car, a 105E Anglia was revving furiously and seemed utterly perplexed that he was going nowhere.
Got out to see if I could help, presumed either his clutch had gone or the rear crankshaft oil seal had failed and dumped engine oil on the friction plate. Had a look underneath for signs of oil dripping from the bellhousing, nope, some scrote had nicked his propshaft.
