Half shaft metal will it be ok

Now here's a question about such large diameter (and I assume multicutter wheels?). So do all the inserts get set exactly the same place (as far as is possible), and is there a risk with this that at high traverse speeds you end with gouges, or at least an uneven finish if you get it wrong?

If im going for a critical finish I sometimes take out all the inserts except for a couple, I suppose used like a flycutter. They thrive on big speed and feed which sometime isn't best for finish depending upon the machine

Finally finished my fly cutter this afternoon and gave it it first run I wasnt happy with the old elliott head so I made a new head its looks much better and It has a bit more meat to it I gave it the first cut earlier today and not to bad although still room for improvement from what I have seen on the internet

The thing is with flycutters, as they get bigger in diameter the closer to perpedicular the head needs to be, otherwise you get a dished cut. But achieving this can create issues with finish, caused by tool rubbing.
Anyone have any recomendations or experiences?
