The closest Guinness on tap is at least 60 miles away, so bottled is the best I can do around here. Maybe it's an acquired taste, but I kinda like it, sure beats Budwiser anyway...

I used to import from the states, went over a few times. Couldn't believe you can get New Castle Brown over there.

Yes, I sometimes buy New Castle Brown Ale when I want something lighter than Gunniss. At one time I used to drink a little Bass too but, truth be known, I actually drink more Shiner Bock (a little darker than New Castle) than any of the imports. It's brewed right here in Texas, less than a hundred miles from my house and taste great so it is a natural choice for me when I want something lighter than a stout.
