I heard its the recently built tunnels for illegal immigrants

that space outside looks ideal for a small lean too
so you can keep the compressor outside!!! (future project if the noise gets too much)

have you looked at the blue plastic push fit from screwfix?

Looks like its already been done the other side at almost a mirror of the gap now.
Has the entire end wall moved from the damp course up?

Thankfully no problems with the drains. The crack has been that gap for years now, it certainly needs attention though.

Another question regarding a copper pipe set up.

Could a pressure drop occur if the pipework is too long? I've measured up and so far I'm just over 13 meters, compressor is Wolf Dakota 3 h.p. 100 ltr (free air circa 9 CFM)

Yes you will get some pressure drop but not a lot. 15mm pipe work has more than twice the cross sectional area of a 10mm air hose, three and a half times that of an 8mm hose and will be that much less restrictive, you will hardly notice it.

After watching various YouTube videos on soldering I felt "confident" to tackle a hard pipe system.

Armed with the following...

...the system began to take shape...

Inlet to the system begins at the left hand side...

...and exits to the right hand side.

Purchased one of these too...

...and finally with various other fittings purchased from local plumbing merchants...

...the hard pipe set up was nearly complete...

...whip hose connects to system via PCL XF's, pressure gauge and ball valve to open/close the system, dog leg with drain valve...

...outlet finishes with final gauge and filter/regulator.

Thanks after reading the reviews Rothenberger's Super Fire 2 seemed the better option compared to the cheaper torches. Thankfully, 57 quid delivered via eBay compared to much higher prices from local retailers.

Before connecting the pneumatic gauges I flushed the system with water to remove any residual flux to limit the chances of oxidization, then dried with compressed air.

On the subject of compressed air, I've pressurized the system to 120 PSi (compressor closes off then) then left for two hours. On returning the I've suffered a 10 PSi drop, meaning there's a LEAK! Should I be concerned about this??

not worth bothering about goround with some soapy water and a paintbrush if u feel; the need. could be loosing it through the one way valve on tank or through the valves on pump . mine goes for 3 days before re starting due top pressure drop

I'm in two minds whether or not to locate the leak considering its minimal.

If its the one way valve or valves in the pump there's nothing I can do.
