Haven't a clue but hello

Thanks snowcat what are you welding with and what do you use your welder for if I may ask..lol

I am running two many machines to mention but my main stapple is a 400amp phillips with a wire drive unit and a 500 amp kemppi A/C D/C arc with a H/F tig set (christmas tree) along with inverters, oil cooled, and smaller mig plants single and 3 phase. If you havent guesed i do this welding lark for a job.

Oops lads - I think an apology is in order.
I meant absolutely no criticism of mig tig - I didn't have a go at his spelling at all, nor would I. It was obvious to me - and I do it all the time, that he'd pressed the keys in the wrong order.
I have not kept up with this thread and realise that in my absence you've been slagging me something rotten. Fair enough, maybe I shouldn't have written what I did, but I did not mean to belittle migtig. I did put a smiley on the end of the comment to try and show I wasn't criticising. Didn't work though did it? I should have known better.

So I apologise sincerely for any offence caused

You have lost me there Si about the slagging but never mind alls in order, light homer (sorry I'll stop it "humor") is fun so please dont take anything I may say to hart Si as we only Live once (until proven otherwise)

Nice camper truck by the way Si would love to see it one day..But I wont be coming anywhere up your way this year I love your city by the way "Edinburgh" I passed my driving test way back in the Army In Dundee and drove back though Edinburgh many years ago..and been back most years to visit old mates... David

So you can weld a little bit then.... (sorry could not help myself there)

I know who to run to for some good advice when I stick the gun to the first bit of welding I try to do then.... (it's not going to be that bad as I'm going to night school to do some welding classes next week)

But that's some equipment you have there but by the looks of it your work in the building trade I think on site work...

I work doing all sorts from structual stuff, to site work on 360s etc. Im sure your get on no probs with the welding lark, If i can do it im sure anyone can.

Ha I see where you are getting the snowcat from now the 360s must be fun to weld up on the buckets when they make a mess of them. I just love big machines I have driven a few tanks around and have a licence for a Telescoping 4x4 Forklift..would love to learn 360 but well into the car trade now...selling good little student cars from my yard...

Not sure about the camper truck btw... do you mean my crappy old Hilux? I have slept in the back of it before now, but I wouldn't say it's the most comfortable spot (smells of dog and oil soaked rags...)

Anyway, back to the welding.
