boys boys boys give the man a break.. who knows it may have taken him weeks to make that n weve tore it apart ! poor lads probably in tears now. im sure stormin will sort him out get it put right..
That doesn't address the problem of it been made from tinfoil ;-)
It doesn't sound like any tinfoil I've ever seenFront plate, grate and legs are from 20mm plate. Rest of box and doors are from 6 and 10mm plate. If any body carries it off to steal it dont fight them!
And you'd still call it tinfoilWho's this didthewelder?
What a spanner, I bet he's an armchair engineer. I ber he'd use stuff like 20mm plate and go overkill....
Why not get it approved as a prototype? I don't honestly think it will be deemed safe as it is though but at least you will know what, why etc.
it may have been the site that I read it on was talking rubbish, it was a long time agoBoth my front room stoves have a flue damper fitted by me,it all depends on the height of your chimney, mine are both quite high so there's lots of draught, hence the flue damper, the rayburn on the other hand has a flue damper built in, along with a flue door which I leave open if I'm overnight banking up or it'll blaze away before morning.
Well right or wrong but for what it's worth I also heard HEATAS or the likes disapproved flue dampers a few years ago for the potential CO problems it can cause if used incorrectly-although used in the right way they increase heat output and save fuel.I think they did away with flu dampers, saying they were dangerous im sure I read it somewhere

the only reason this has one is to block the flue when not in use to keep wind n wildlife out.he lives on top of a mountain so it can be pretty windy up there. seems to burn perfect without having to use it.. its going in a drafty garage not his front room . i can see where miss use could end in disaster though.
Is that similar to internet banking------- but done at night ??if I'm overnight banking
