I agree - looking at the brickwork for scale - that appears to be a beam approximately 6" in depth (and maybe more) - not wishing to "throw peanuts for the gallery" my concern in this application is not the beam but the brickwork - you appear to have less than 6" of your beam bearing on the brickwork on each end and I am unsighted as to whether there are "bearing plates" between the beam and the brickwork; is the beam "bedded" onto the brickwork or does it just sit on them ?

I agree entirely with the 250 kg SWL sign you wish to install for the beam , in fact dependent on the kg/m spec of this beam, (remember extruded steel sections of the same external dimensions come in different thicknesses), I would think this figure to be hugely conservative - it is the brickwork that I would watch carefully. (Investigate carefully with a torch and see if there are any signs of distress (cracks) around the area where the bricks are in direct contact with the beam.

If you're wanting to be pedantic and stick the correct SWL sticker on it (a meaningful one anyway) then the only option is to get a structural engineer to work it out for you based on the walls etc.
