i have seen the pics of the work gto nemesis has done.i think he did that with mig looks good. i have seen lads at work using tig on stainless pipe butts and they do an amazing job.

just spoke to my mate who is a welder and he said tig is the better option for what i need if no both in same unit.

Paul i will second weldequip on the quality of the inverter fusion units, i own a 200 php. Absolutely lovely machine, has excellent duty cycle, and nice and light as well, which means if you want to use it as a stick/MMA unit its nice and portable. Just wondering if pulse might be better for you as you are welding thin pipe, not that i weld on pulse much as i normally use it for 3mm upwards but on the occasions i have used on thin work i have found the pulse mode a bit of a help.
