Loads of really good info there . With regards to interviews . Without being rude and not knowing you may I suggest you take a good look at yourself in the mirror and say " would I want to employ this man?" What you might think of as a great image might not to an employer looking for someone who they hope is going to fit into a 'slot' . The first thing you have to do is sell yourself as an image , not a false one but just trimmed around the edges. Not just looks but general attitude and personality. If they don't like you as you walk in the room it is more difficult . Don't bullsh*t and watch out for incoming bullsh*t from them. Ask questions . Best of luck!

Have you looked at an Apprenticeship? I believe they are offered up to 26?

If you wanted a nice secure job in a clean and warm environment with access to a never ending supply of nubile women how about getting a qualification to teach higher maths . I did hear a while ago there was a shortage of decent Maths teachers.

Teaching isnt for everyone, my step daughters best friends other have has a first in pure maths, left uni, got a job in London, high paid, high pressure. Only lasted about 18months, decided it wasn't for him, before he had the breakdown. Went and did the teaching year, working nights in bars to earn money. After a few years in a comprehensive, he had the breakdown. He's now back in hospitality and is the manager of a big place in Newcastle.

You can join the army. There they will teach you, food and shelter, and give you a profession.

goes to prove my way of life " be flexible" . 11 job in first 13 years of employment ,bit extreme but worked for me. I know ,it was easier in "them days"

As just about everyone else on this thread has replied, you are not old, you are just a pup at 23, you have the rest of your life ahead of you.
Didn't even start my degree until i was 27.
The only bit of guidance i could give is, "Its always easier to get a job when you've got a job" take anything not matter how menial, just being out in the work place will increase your horizons 10-fold. it may also help you focus on what you really want to do.
