Haha, that'll be at around half past never on Thursday
Nah, in all seriouness if you want a good price on one send me over a PM and i'll sort something out for you.
The GYS certainly do, I got some adaptors for mine so that I could use the leads I already have.

You’d be a lot better off with the MultiVoltage Lorch over the older version of the MicorStick 160.
What’s your budget?
@Richard. Can advise.
As said digital display all the way. I like to dial in 130A and know that’s what I’m getting.
The lorch has proper size dinse connectors.
No, they are rock solid, very happy with them.Adapters sound like a great workaround, as long as they’re not all wibbly wobbly.
GYS e163 with pulse. Cheap enough and after that EWM Pico 160 pulse. Sold both and not had any issues. One of the EWMs spends its life fixing forestry kit so must be getting used in a harsh environment.
No, the GYS or at least the ones I have/have used don'tI’d left the whole pulse thing out to stop too much derailing, so I’m glad you bought it up.
I don’t know anything about it, and would be keen to know more. I take it this is different to using a Pulse TIG machine to spoof a pulsed MMA?
I am not interested in any TIG functionality as I have a Jasic that will do pulse TIG.
Does the GYS pro range offer this pulse MMA facility?
Nobody seems to love the EWM accept you, but I thought it looked good.
https://www.lorch.eu/en/productworld/micorstick-180/Could you give me the model number please and a rough idea of price? My budget is whateverI can scrape together as usual, but I don’t mind paying for something excellent if the price is right.
To most, it's a bit of a novelty, but I've tried a bit of pulse MMA with my TIG set and it's pretty clever - you can run a 6013 in any position easily since the puddle freezes fast like a 7018. I think I ran it around 60hz, 50% on time and 50% background current.I’d left the whole pulse thing out to stop too much derailing, so I’m glad you bought it up.

I haven't done any destructive tests to check penetration etc though, and i wouldn't want to rely on it until I have. I'm not sure I'd be buying a stick unit specifically with pulse, unless I had some experience running quality joints and knew it was going to see a lot of use.
So the only difference between a dedicated pulse MMA unit and a Pulse TIG unit used for the same function, is that the pulse MMA has an assigned setting on the control panel for P-MMA?
How would I try this on my IGBT inverter pulse TIG unit (without blowing it up or killing myself lol)
jasic...i have 2 now and i love them...for mma and scratch start tig, they now do i think 2 year warrenty?
Most TIG sets don't allow an option for pulsed MMA, but some do... basically the MMA function has a different volt-amp curve to the TIG function with a much higher open circuit voltage, so yes you can try running a stick in TIG mode, but it's unlikely to run as nicely as it would in proper MMA mode.
You probably won't kill your TIG set doing this, but it will be harder on it than usual due to the higher power requirements of MMA vs TIG. That's if you can even get it to light and run properly... you might manage fine with 6013 though, they run on pretty much anything.
This bloke reckons he likes it in TIG mode, sounds like it works on various rod types with his set:

Tig only goes up to about 19V whereas MMA will be 50 or 70v ocv and about 20-30v whilst running a rod.
odd i run my 200 on lots of extension leads, last week i was running off a 50m plugged into a 25m running 4mm rodsI’ve got a Jasic PRO 200 Pulse TIG/MMA but it doesn’t like extension leads for some reason. Hence looking for a sturdy, non temperamental high end dedicated MMA box. Thanks though, and yes the 2 year warranty is extended to 5 years if you buy from Nozalls in Cheltenham (or used to be)..
