I must admit I just fancy a go a tig welding alloy not something I need to do often but it would be nice to be able to and no need to drag the big welder nearer the power supply as it needs 32a 3 phase to run the eBay listing includes the foot pedal and at a third of the price of the next equivalent seems ok not sure how long it will last tho but most machines are made in China these day just rebadged take my plasmapart plasma cutter for example they fettle them when they come in apparently but I have to say that has been the best thing I have bought for a while

I've had one a while (6 months maybe) and it still worked last week
tbh I'm still learning Tig so I couldn't comment on it's arc characteristics or anything technical but it makes all the right noises in pulse and AC etc.
the pedal is awful I have had to replace a few bits in mine but I intend to build a new one from scratch sometime
the torch it comes with is huge and uncomfortable so I replaced it with a CK style slim unstitched type from ebay and some stubby gas lenses
it works fine for my first Tig and I'd say it's worth the investment just to work out if the process is for you or not

also worth mentioning that it comes with the customary copper bar reinforced fuse but I think those things must be industry standard for eBay welders by now

I always take the plugs off the generic China stuff and stick a decent heavy duty one on, what size have you managed to weld upto on 13a

I welded some small 8mm lugs to some 5mm plate the other day but I'd not have much idea on penetration etc. but I didn't care since I knew the weld wasn't going to be the weak link and if the weld broke then I would have bigger problems anyway.
That was foot flat to the floor with the pedal pot on max which would give me supposedly 200 china rated amps
I was using a 2.4mm geka purple tungsten if that makes any difference
I suspect it wasn't 200 amps since the fuse didn't blow and that maybe the foot pedal (or mine at least) doesn't give full power but it's also possible that the machine isn't 200 amps anyway

It is shocking what these companies are selling on ebay and amazon etc and deliberately making unsafe modifications to fuses etc. It's actually criminal when you think about it but in the name of profit and greed they can do what they like.

The little zx7 200 stick welder i bought for £24.69 brand new off amazon was similar, piece of alluminium in place of a fuse, and the all metal casework wasnt earthed which also seems to be a common thing and worth checking for, obviously being the price it was i expected it and fixed it straight away, most people buying a machine down this admittely extreme end of the price spectrum wouldnt know better though which is somewhat scary.
