I got these as a present a few years ago. I only use them when I need to make sure that I don't slip on a cross head screw and chew it up. It wasn't a random present, I asked before they bought me the usual straight to land fill tat

you put a slight burr on the end with the burnisher, a bit like you do with a cabinet scraper. Supposed to grip the screw better, seems to work.

You wont need any warranty, they are very good, and all the blades and handles are available as spares off the snap on van, maybe even williams themselves?
Iirc mid size blade is about 10/12 quid.
I have been using the hard handled snap on screwdrivers for over 30 years, really good tools.

I purchased my first Snap-on screwdriver set about 50 years ago, unfortunately their guarantee doesn't cover loss or theft, so sometimes you just to dig deep again or invest in Williams Screwdriver sets.
They appear to be just as good a quality as Snap-on, the blades are sometimes slightly not as well finished, I think the blades might have failed (Snap-on) quality control on very slight things, one driver of my set the end is not ground square its about 2/3 degrees off of the center line and the handle surfaces are a bit grainer, but overall a Snap-on screwdriver set...
And being as Williams are owned/part of the Snap-on group, it makes sense.

A tapered blade in a parallel slot has always been a stupid combination. The blade is only ever touching the top of the slot.
My lad was working on a bike on Saturday, I said whatever you do don't round the master cylinder screws off!.
His reply was "You bought me a set of Snap-on screwdrivers, they came straight out".
I have ground some screwdriver bits over the years for various uses (mainly carburetor related). I'm sure Nielson do a hollow ground bit set?.

Alot of bit sets are hollow ground, but the extra diameter is a pain. I want ones with parallel sides for screws that are recessed a bit. Nothing worse than chewing the surrounding edge.

Profile of the PB swiss for reference. It is basically a standard screwdriver shape but with a parallel tip.
Note - their VDE drivers are just a standard slightly hollow grind, it is only their normal drivers which have a parallel tip.

They did stop them for a few years, which peed me off big time, and instead they sold that soft handled instinct rubbish.
