You should have said when you called in yesterday, I've a box with loads of best Adli hollow ground turnscrews you could had a few for free.I want to get a decent set of flat head screwdrivers.
At the moment, out of who knows how many screwdrivers! I only have 1 I ever want to use. It's a faithful I think, hard to tell due to handle damage, but the tip is hollow ground and it's just better than any of my others.
Hollow ground seem.a little hard to find though apart from gunsmiths ones. Any sets of decent, general workshop, types out there?
Way to good for use as a part time chisel..........I got these as a present a few years ago. I only use them when I need to make sure that I don't slip on a cross head screw and chew it up. It wasn't a random present, I asked before they bought me the usual straight to land fill tat

you put a slight burr on the end with the burnisher, a bit like you do with a cabinet scraper. Supposed to grip the screw better, seems to work.

You wont need any warranty, they are very good, and all the blades and handles are available as spares off the snap on van, maybe even williams themselves?Whats the warranty like on these
I have been using the hard handled snap on screwdrivers for over 30 years, really good tools.
Why do you want hollow ground?
Few months ago the 8 piece set was £89 delivered on eBay, was watching themUsed to be half that price but shot up recently
My lad was working on a bike on Saturday, I said whatever you do don't round the master cylinder screws off!.
His reply was "You bought me a set of Snap-on screwdrivers, they came straight out".
I have ground some screwdriver bits over the years for various uses (mainly carburetor related). I'm sure Nielson do a hollow ground bit set?.
Whats the warranty like on these
I like the Snap on Hard Handle, sold on Ebay as Williams at a far cheaper price but no longer available.
They did stop them for a few years, which peed me off big time, and instead they sold that soft handled instinct rubbish.Snap On hard handle are still available new and regularly on the monthly flyers
PBswiss had stopped trading in the UK a few months ago, has a new distributor taken over? or anyone know of a UK supplier?
I want ones with parallel sides for screws that are recessed a bit.
Have a look through the catalogues of the good manufacturers. 1/4" hex. with long parallel shanks are made and available.
