I check HMT.net every now and then, but this beast is a real head-turner. Yes, he has a well stocked workshop anyway, but it really does go to show that a machine which you have control over from beginning to end, will work as you intend.

Wow, that's amazing, I'll be reading that for hours.
There's a guy on practical machinist (I think) who made one but it's nothing compared to that.

Looking through that list a few caught my eye, namely @wyn 's tube notcher and @astro_al 's welding table.

It's a peach. If any of my mates made one like that I would stick a Made in China on the control panel because of the colour!

So, for future reference, what colours are allowed.

I went through a 'few'pages, 180something, and there are a lot of repeats, but I have made umpteen things which could have been included. B*gg*r.

They would get the count up.

It's never too late. If you've got photos of the tools you've made, let's see 'em. Post the pics with any info you'd like included and I'll get them added straightaway.

we have 2 trumpf lasers doing everything from agricultural parts to 1 offs iv done little things like dog tags (favor for bosses friend) to single parts using 4metre sheets of 15mm we had to do bushings and clutch and loads of other bits in the lorry in work used the laser to cut and make tools for the job rather than buy them ..probably made the jobs easier as the tools were made to me and the mechanics designs often cut out spanners and that type if i havent got one when i need it

Very cool! It must be great to just cut out a custom spanner (or whatever else) when needed. Neat toys those lasers. Now I need one… :-)

I was cutting and bending a load of flat bar today to make a brazier and you know what I would really love? Something with 2 counter-rotating wheels you can feed the metal through for taking the rust and mill scale off.

Did you see one on the home made site or is it just a design concept on your wish list??
