How I fixed getting no suction of media in blast cabinet

I got this huge and unwidely rubber hose and the blasting gun is also very large, it would be difficult to use it with the blast cabinet. I am gonna buy some parts today and I should be able to finish it up. I might replace the mixing valve lever too, it's too small, can't get any leverage so it's tough to adjust.

My cheap suction gun came with steel nozzles and they still wore through exactly like that.
Boron carbide is the way to go.

As a temporary fix could you Araldite the hole up then fit a washer on the thread thick enough to let the nozzle tighten up 180° from where it normally does?
