thumb always over handle with fingers so if it kicks back no damage to thumb

What is the name of this torch?

It's a CK flexloc with superflex cable but I put the head in a Parweld progrip handle and sheath, simply as I don't think much to the CK handles with the clip on button and the Parweld sheath is very flexible and light.

Took the Gem for a trip over to my Mum's allotment with success then failure, lost the petrol cap as it partially broken and snapped the roto drive chain

I knew it was a bit iffy but decided it might be ok, so will have to get new chain and go back to finish it up. I think someone said it's like wrestling a bear and on claggy clay soil with holes from removed shrubs it sure is, but good fun and was working very well. Really need to fix the reverse gear though!

Great machines them .I have a Howard 700 haven't had it running for a year or two tho.
I have a saw bench, water pump, plough and cutter bar for mine, i used to do peoples allotments with it..............Thats another project i need to get stuck into

Had to google that one, looks a good machine if not a little rare. Plough and cutter bar do sound very handy as well though.

Finally got round to asking our old man about what we had, two Howard gems, a Howard bantam and an absolute animal of a machine that was a landmaster. Also a ransomes mg6 crawler with pto rotavator and full hydraulics, a grey fergie with a Perkins p3 in ( that I learnt to drive on) a wheel horse rj58 garden tractor and assorted other crap

Well the 350 fell through, a couple of others also slipped by so I've just bought a 1950s Howard Yeoman in rough condition. I will post some pictures when I collect it.

Well I got it home, made me grunt a bit loading it up its 220kg!

Looks like a nice compleate unit really, is it a runner ?

unfortunately no! the clutch is broken, the fuel tank is missing, the carb has been removed and fiddled with??? the rotor unit is sized and the governor is rusted solid with bits missing. On the plus side all the gears seem to work and all the difficult to replace bits are there.
I will take the engine off when I get home and get into the warmth of the workshop to sort it out, I haven't got a lot of enthusiasm to be out in the cold!
