That's a good start.Current tools:

Do you get everything you need in the kit - just needs welding together.. GrahamI made one of Urchfab's dice when I got my welder.
Sort of a kit
Yes it is a simple six sided dice. It is good for welding practice as you need to tack it together square before fully welding.Do you get everything you need in the kit - just needs welding together.. Graham

Indeed.Blimey I do paying work with little more than that, ask @Barking Mat - he’s been here!
An angle grinder and some experience welding, yeah, some years admittedly, and I can make £300 a day, at reasonable rates.Blimey I do paying work with little more than that, ask @Barking Mat - he’s been here!
A credit to the students, and their tutor.Well spotted Dev
I spotted this earlier and forgot all about it
Poshbit would hubby be interested in a sculpture making class?
I work full time as a metal sculptor and as part of my practice I run classes for beginners.

A bit of a trek from Scotland but we have lots of scenery and stuff in South Wales.
All of the pieces below were made by complete beginners with no experience.

I think this is the best way to learn this type of work. Making a project involves much more self learning than just doing welding exercises

I wonder if there would be much demand for that? I quite like the idea of designing some low-poly animals to be laser cut and welded up. Would anyone pay two hundred quid for a corten fox at the end of the garden? There's got to be a lot of Middle Lidl MIG welders out there which were bought on a whim, sitting un-used."Airfix-like" kits of precut metal parts don't exist. Maybe there's a potential market there, for someone.
