Oh they aint my brains on this one. I am just foing as asked by the customerI may need to pick your brains....
See I have learned something already. A new word. What is this foing you speak of? I want some too.
It’s technical press talk, don’t you know anything
Probably only had C channel is my guess! Why back to back channel over U beam I wonder?
Sizes available plus an odd design quirkWhy back to back channel over U beam I wonder?
Of course I know what it is, just remembered, I just don't currently have anything that can foing. I was planning in getting one though. Obviously.
I won't be doing those bitsIf my customer asked me to foing I'd tell him where to get off. Have you got the ram and pump that's going to power it ? Show more
Shame as I am thinking of doing something like this to a gigantic I beam I picked up.
But I was going to ask what the strongest method for connecting the join top and bottom might be, hence the duplicate right angle in the picture. I also wanted to pick your brains over the type of ram that might be suitable for a forging press.
Dimensions required or stronger centre web maybeWhy back to back channel over U beam I wonder?
Unless you only have single use in mind, that design looks very restrictive as to what would fit on the tableShame as I am thinking of doing something like this to a gigantic I beam I picked up.

I'd like to build one but at the minute I'm garageless, got hydraulic ram and pump stored away, always good to see other people's ideasYes of course. All that is so far is a sketch to see how much I beam I need to chop off and what size hydraulic ram would fit. I then wonder out loud the best/strongest way to cut and weld it. No one is suggesting a 45 degree cut is preferred which is great because its a difficult cut for me and I end up with two 45's.
The bottom bracket needs to be just as strong as the top so I might as well mirror it but the base can be extended to allow larger items, Hunton bolster etc. Then depending on the height of course, it also needs legs.
I should probably start a thread for this build assuming I ever get around to it.
