No it won't, not once you have had a garage that size! I had a single integral garage that was full of classic mini and motorbike in our last house. I couldn't imagine being without the space I have now.

My brother has similar size near where he lives up Cumbria, i would of had one when they were available, mite be £150 mile away but at £200 a month well worth it for storage alone ha ha

Now, I have been back at my parents the last 18months with no rent.. and it is literally my only outlet.. None of my friends live here anymore so I literally have nobody to go out and socialise with lmao.

thats our life and we have to make the best of it only space we get is when the children goto school

Sorry mate. I'm not griping at all..

I am kind of agreeing. What I meant by the cruel part (bad word choice) was that it seems pretty wasteful that i've ended up spending all this money on a hobby. Thankfully I have the money at the moment as living at home, but it kind of bugs me I spend so much money on this stuff as I could probably spend it on better and also I feel a little bad that I am also in this fortunate position.

I know I am extremely lucky with all this stuff, to the point I feel kind of bad at times and wasteful.

I have similar thoughts, as I rent a similar shed which is used just to keep all my projects and stuff in. The way I look at it is that other people spend a lot of money on holidays or phone contracts or loads of other stuff that I don't do, and I'm in the fortunate position to be able to do it, so I do. I am not in the South East, but would struggle to buy somewhere with enough space to build my own shed, much as I'd like to do that.

There is. I'd have a lift if I could find a reasonably priced second hand one.

Look up local garage equipment suppliers, the ones that install lifts. They often remove old ones for dealers and such.

I paid £600 for a huge 5t one. When i picked it up an artic arrived with another 12 lifts on it. I think they're called Everard.

But yea, I hear you.. I would absolutely love to build a unit somewhere.

I have yet to nail down where I will live when I return to England later in the year (somewhere South East).. but it's expensive. I'll likely just get a place with a garage and that will be enough space for me.

You've done well there...here in London a single garage is £150pm....sorry make that £210!!! .

Just live in the moment and enjoy it....does make me thing I need to move! I'd love that sort of warehouse at the bottom of my garden or a short walk from my house. I'd have stacked parking bays....fill it with projects. Actually it's probably good I don't have a warehouse now I think about it!

Receivers appointed to the property recently, so I can't move in.

Well, I am staying where I am now. Which isn't bad really, I have agreed to be able to get a key from the owner so I can come and go as I wish and pay a few extra quid for diesel for the genny every now and then. I am really going to crack on with my build now.
