Ideas for a Workshop

I was going to post this under "stuff I have made today" but then thought (perhaps) it was worthy of a thread on its own - I am always fascinated by peoples workshops, I can spend hours just walking around them, picking up ideas, marveling at the simple (and often obvious) things, and shaking my head at those which are not.... You can learn so much about the personalities of the people that have built them and organized them.
Anyway I post a couple of pictures of some things I have made for my workshop - Note: I am retired, so as long as it costs nothing - I have the luxury of time
The drill bits are what I call "jobbing bits" used for all sorts and often abused... Drill sets are kept as "sets" in original boxes and treated with respect.
If just one of you copies something - the thread was worth it.

"yes" - wife got annoyed with me walking in the house with overalls on covered in grease/oil/dust/whatever, (let alone the shoes...), and "pi**ing" in the privet hedge wasn't acceptable either.....
Needless to add - I am in the "Happily Married" category - "I'm married" and the wife is "Happy" - as long as she is complaining about something.....

Indeed it was - one of those emergency plastic things the they sell (or used to) in garages.

I made this for material off cuts etc. It was in my old workshop and I will build something similar in the new one. I find guttering is quite good for it as it is cheap and robust.

I like it I have been looking for a solution for keeping thread bar of various lengths - this would work.
Except I don't have any guttering.....

I spaced my blasting cabinet away from the wall, I need to as the door protrudes back when open, and filled the space with flat section ducting in which I store long things.

I'll take a photo when I'm next out there.

I do like to see a nice neat and tidy workshop.

Imagine all the things you could get done before you even have to think about tidying up.
