Ideas for a Workshop

All my workshop storage pictures are scattered round the forum Knew I should have put them in one place. Not that there is anything worth copying.

Just spent this afternoon trying to work out what to do with my cable ties. They ended up in an old Quality Street (other Christmas chocolates are available) tub.

I also got a couple of those magnetic tool holders from Lidl I believe. Decided against using them as they would just attract grinding dust and swarf

Ahh !! But then you need the end caps - AND - I need petrol for my car to collect it..

Most sensible thing I have done for a while. Somewhere to keep all those useful odds and ends of scrap that's too good to bin (i.e. any offcut). Can't just put them in a deep drawer or bucket because you'll never find them. So I made a very shallow drawer that runs on the floor, under a bench into a walkway.

Might not look like it but there is way in excess of 50kg in there.

I do like to see a nice neat and tidy workshop.

Imagine all the things you could get done before you even have to think about tidying up.

Used to get them by the rucksack full from Poundland. Now they start at £2...

They are dead handy around the workshop, in fact a lot of kitchen stuff quite easily makes that transfer.

Hi Folks, ive been doing a bit of googling, but not coming up with much, so i thought id ask the all seeing all knowing community here! in the next month or 2 i should finally have my ned workshop air/water tight and almost ready to move all my tooling etc in. im looking for interesting...

I was buying black plastic containers from the pound shop during lockdown. I went in the other day and put 10 on the counter and she said 20 pounds please...I said but there are only 10 there....she replied with they are now £2. So in 12 months they have doubled in price but inflation is only 3%. Some one needs to go back to school.

Yes, it makes a uniform radius, far better than 'freehand'.

Just as well my workshop door opens outward or I'd never be able to get in...
