i carry a dremel with a small cutting disc........wish we had had these 30 years ago, perfect for getting the last bit of slag out of a root run, before the hot pass.........
and a very needle pointed steel chisel.............

Not that I do any site welding, but I always find a bit of matting to sit on, makes life a lot nicer, instead of sitting on cold floors and steel work/old rods/brick rubble/crapment/water etc etc

an aerosol can of zinc primer and pot of primer (colour to suit the job) for after welding and i always carry my thinking cap!
