Thanks. A bit more info if it means anything at all. With the load cell unplugged I switch the unit on. It says check then goes to zero. Display unit then emits a long beep roughly every 6 secinds. The display alternates between "2Ero" aka zero and a display in kilos. This can vary; might. Read zero, 550.6kg, zero, 550.6kg, zero and so on. Next time you switch it on it might read zero, 1931kg, zero, 1931kg and so on.

Continuity good from the plug to PCB header.

Have you read a manual? Does the display need any set up, and even if it was set up previously it may have lost its marbles if it’s been unpowered for a while??
