Read Farside’s post again, very carefully.The ones I have had "issues" with are the shafts were the bearing is very tight on the shaft and it needs to "encouraged" to be removed.

I've seen 50 tons+ on a Transit (mk1) king pin in a Churchill hydraulic press, with the axle beam hanging in the middle of nowhere, until we added a hot spanner into the mix, the king pin made a hole in the concrete floor when it did move....The old Triumph 2000 ones took some beating in both senses.
Seen 35 tons on our old Churchill press it just sat there no one would heat after the experience with one from a Railton/Hudson half shaft hub experiance
Thanks all the old ones I have seen have been wood? I wonder if they would sell me a sticker?
