whilst its simplier to do that its trusting your builder in doing what should be right and fastened right to the internal blocks dosnt always happen and they do shortcut oftenI self built my house out of ICF, if I were to do it again I'd be simplifying things further by just using traditional blocks and external wall insulation.
however the downside to that is your losing space 4" block +2" or 3" of insulation total 6-7 or 8" lost for an internal wall however you will bridge it far better
lets say if we built out of blocks say thermalights or breeze blocks then you would get a view like this due to the cement at the joints
without playing the video that pic you see is the view you would get from normal breeze blocks and cement wher the joints are leaking heat ( cold spots )
however you cant drill thermalights or breeze blocks that well as they are useless to fasten too so then your back to concrete blocks for internal walls
