Have a look at the ESAB G50 full air fed setup with the PAPR unit. Has the clear grinding visor, with a flip up auto cartridge. Also has the clips for a diopter lens. Price is very reasonable too compared to the 'higher' quality makes.

Have the g40version of this, exactly the same just a passive lense rather than reactive, and can vouch for it being a decent bit of kit. Small and lighter than a lot of others, especially the speedglass lids, can fit a cheater in it easy, can even wear glasses in it easily enough if you want.

Get some of the carbon filters for the blower though, especially if youre partial to a bit of spicy grub

Never used this but did consider buying once. Looked a bit front heavy to me but you never know till you try. Yeah carbon filters good for farts worked at a place where the in joke was to fart in each other's blowers. One guys **** was so bad he made a bloke sick in his helmet -- he didn't stop till the end of the weld though

ESAB G50 looks like it would have room for a cheater, and is an ok helmet setup (I had a play with one in Weldtech's shop). Not in the same league as the 9100 FX series though, it's like comparing a Peugeot to a rolls royce.

I have the Sentinel air fed with the new PAPR and also agree with the carbon filter comments - whenever you fart, you instantly know about it otherwise It's a good PAPR unit though, finally something that's about as good as the 3M adflo.

kempi and speedglass with the flat inner lens can be modded to take a standard cheater ,you can buy a couple of thin folded clips that fit on the ends of the cheater ,these have small protrusions that fit behind the inner clear glass and enable the cheater too be movsd up or down its easy to make your own with a pair of tin snips and an old biscuit box

They are a little bit front heavy, not in that it's uncomfortable while welding, just that it doesnt stay up too well when the entire screen is lifted as it doesnt lift very far because of the shape of the air ducting
