Yep, could be really badly wound (cheap stuff). That's crossed over 'till the end.
Anyway, it's a vital mig lesson.

Better bead profile and appearance. Solid wire for welding of structural steels. Ultimate GMAW wire for robotics and hard automation. Shielding Gas. Suitable For All Welding Positions.www.ebay.co.uk
Same. Wire reels are really bad for individual postage, they're so easy to damage. Plastic is way betterNot had much luck with online purchases of mig wire in the steel reels, had too many land with bent frames and wire all over the place. I prefer to collect.

Definitely looks like a dodgy spool, which is unusual for Parweld stuff. Send me your address in a message, i'll get one sent out to you FOC
We've got plenty of them knocking about in the warehouse.
Schoolboy error there, Sir.
Yeah. Had I actually thrown the first spool away, I was going to keep the reel and make it into a spacer.I will say I thought the same thing when I put a small 5kg reel of stainless on mine the other day - it's bonkers that the spacer doesn't have a drive lug on it so you can use it on the backside, and bring the spool in line with the wire drive, instead of being offset to the back.
I'm printing an adaptor for mine to do just that, save it pulling sideways over the edge of the spool all the time.
