makers state 20 amp for a reason and a 16 amp mcb wont cut it
This is true but it states this at full tilt.makers state 20 amp
Take a few minutes and google pre charge circuitThis is true but it states this at full tilt.
You usually get a few on the data plate in line with duty cycle. Eg 100 amps out at 60% duty draws 10amps.
160amps out at 35% duty draws 15amps etc. It’s all stated on the data plate. It shouldn’t pop a 16amp breaker just turning it on.
a 32 amp breaker will trip before a 13 amp cartridge fuse will blow .here is the reason https://www.pat-testing-training.net/articles/fuse-operation-characteristics.phpHi Jim.
While I understand everything you have written above. How does a 20 year old Esab aristo tig or my lorch Handytig or the rtech 200AC/DC I had work from a 13A plug on a 32A ring main with a B type breaker then?
Something must be awry with the Jasic or the breaker was bad.
My data plate.
Ran from a 16b since the day it came home.
