Looked like this.
New lift pump, reconditioned injection pump, then after a couple of hours of changing all the diesel hoses, joints and washers.
Hadn't run for years...

That's a later model, Heavier duty front end, braced rear wheel rims (around the wheel nuts) etc , It's the same as the one parked next to the one I'm working on.

We had a 3CII just like it, ours had a ford engine swapped in that was gutless, and was totally addicted to easy-start. Even had a special holder for the easystart can.
The hydraulics on it were awesome though, tons of lifting power.... when it had enough hydraulic fluid in. The loud whine from a starved pump was the warning that you needed another 5 gallons
What a tank of a thing to drive! Felt like steering a ship, you could barely keep the thing straight over a flat field.
The cab rotted so much it eventually blew off in a storm. Ran it for a few more years before the engine become extremely difficult to start, and sold it to a scrap merchant!
We have a Fermec 760 turbo now, it's a nice upgrade, although just as wander-y with the steering. I wonder if they're all like that? Nothing wrong with it we can see, just impossible to hold in a straight line at any decent speed.

I've had my Citroen DS rad re-cored, about 4 years ago, that cost £180, cash etc. It is a piddly little thing.

I would say that's fair, had a TK Bedford rad recored last year and that was £300.

Yesterday I nearly fixed this. Found that the cylinder was was dinged and had damaged the piston and seals (scrap) got two heavier one off a 3c mk3 so gonna fit those hopefully, already opened the gap between the inner bosses to suit the bigger DIA cylinder. Any one done this? will it work/

I am working on my Fordson Major at the moment, the connection is that it has JCB rear wheels, or rather Fordson wheels reversed to widen the track, and gusset reinforced around the wheel studs. I actually wish I had a JCB with Fordson rear wheels. Thinking of buying one next year for some commando landscaping on our 4 acres!
