There are cheap alternatives to Devilbiss for the job, I use a £20 gravity gun for almost everything these days and it does the job well. Buying a dear gun doesn't guarantee you a good job there are lots of other variables to get right. I used to have a JGA and I also used them in a factory spraying boiler panels (white goods very boring job) from a pressure pot system but I gave it away to a friend's lad who was impressed by the name. I bought a suction feed gun made by a firm called Defynik and it is almost identical to the Devilbiss and cost me £35. It's painted 5 or 6 complete cars and a good few panels and works for me.
when i went to collage for spraying.they let us play with all the guns you could think of.
nothing is a good jga for fan spread,or turns down to a width that you can draw pics/write with.nearly as fine as a airbrush.
not saying you have been stung. but you could be.
