I know of a couple of people who used "DIY Kitchens" https://www.diy-kitchens.com and speak very highly of them. They certainly seem better than the Symphony kitchen our house has installed.

I put an Ikea kitchen in our previous house and had no issues with it. Was easy to install and the quality was very good, worth a look if you have an Ikea nearby.

I fitted a diy kitchen to our house and can highly recommend them, however they do have a minimum spend so probably no good for the op. They come all built up so just fit the legs fit, level up and fit the doors, job done.

think im the only person who found diy-kitchens a bit lacking, just fitted some in my utility and one was quote out of square, one had an uneven top and the fridge/freezer larder units were a bit on the basic side with no fittings for the top shelf etc. , My dad whos a retired carpenter helped me fit and said wickes/howdens were better but definately more expensive

Our kitchen is IKEA, fitted by me. It's been in 20 years and still looks good. I never had a problem with the lack of a void but I wasn't looking for one because I'm not a kitchen fitter

We have a Howdens kitchen and have been happy with it. Units feel good quality and it hasn't deteriorated over the years, hinges and doors all still good. It was their better range not the cheap ones aimed at rentals.

There's a kitchen fitter facebook group that pops up on my feed and folk on there seem to like DiyKitchens and the more expensive Wickes showroom ones.
